How to measure: Stand upright with your leg straight. Place the measuring tape around your thigh 10cm (about 4 inches) above the center of your kneecap. Pull snug but not tight. Record in centimeters. If your measurement falls on a boundary between sizes, size up for more compression.
Washing
Hand wash in cold water with a mild detergent after each session. Never machine wash — the agitation and heat of a washing machine break down the neoprene compound over time, reducing compression and longevity.
Drying
Air dry only — lay flat or hang in a well-ventilated area. Never tumble dry, use a dryer, or place near a direct heat source (radiators, direct sunlight). Heat is neoprene's worst enemy and will cause the material to stiffen and crack.
Storage
Store flat or loosely rolled. Avoid storing compressed or folded sharply for extended periods. Keep in a dry, cool place. The included mesh bag is ideal for transport but not for long-term storage — let them air out between sessions.
Odor Control
Neoprene retains odors when not washed after use. Adding a few drops of white vinegar to rinse water neutralizes odor effectively. Specialized neoprene cleaner (available at dive shops) is also excellent for deep cleaning every few weeks.
